    She is my most loyal friend. Katie gets me through my times of being ill and she is my companion when I am feeling great. Katie picked me. We met as the Humane Society and it was love at first sight. We have been together every since 2000 when I rescued her from the Humane Society. I would recommend this breed to anyone. She is great with kids and the elderly. She never chews up things and she stays of the furniture. If you are thinking of a large dog that is more passive then a Golden might be right for you too. You can go the the Humane Society or GRAND which is a retriever rescue...I am thankful every day that Katie picked me.

    Meet Owen(on the left) and Tubby(on the right). Owen was adopted from Gailor Animal Hospital after we performed surgery to remove insulation he had eaten. We had to open his stomach and even remove a foot of his intestines. Owen was a trooper and recovered very quickly. This is his first picture with his new brother.
